Car Light Wrapping Instructions

How to Determine the Roll Size Needed

Although we will give you the estimated lengths needed for each type of job later we want to first offer you a more detailed understanding of how to measure the areas to be wrapped with tint film. You will need the following supplies:

  1. String or a measuring tape
  2. A Sharpie or pen to mark the string
  3. Masking or low-tac tape to hold your measure in place

First identify the points representing the maximum height and width of the light. Tape or keep the end of the cord at one end and unfurl it until you reach the opposite end. You may actually end up calculating both the width and depth of the lens but, because you are going to be using a two-dimensional sheet you can regard it as a single dimension.

Using the same strategy used record the width, proceed to record its height. When you have measured both dimensions you will need to add an extra 2 " wide to each to be able to ensure you will have enough tint for the job and to allow you to handle the film. It is very important that this step not be missed because body oils and over-handling are two of the significant causes which cause to delamination and lack of adhesion.

Headlight Wrapping

When tinting out your front lights you should always be sure to keep visibility as your first concern. We suggest the use of smoked tint on front lights only on automobiles to be used for display purposes. In general, most headlights will need at least 24 by 24-inches of vinyl each to be able to be absolutely covered. Therefore, if you want to buy one section of wrap to tint the pair of headlamps you would need to buy a 48-inch sheet.

Tinting Taillights

The same concerns apply for taillight tinting as for those above. Tail lamps can vary widely in size and shape but it is almost certain that you will need at least 24-square inches per light for sufficient protection.
Smoking-out Fog Lights
Fog lamps are usually smaller than the head or taillights although there are some significant exclusions out there such as certain Subarus. As such, one twenty-four by twenty-four inch wrap kit will be sufficient to film both fog illumination and you should have enough remaining over to add used components to your part indicators or third braking mechanism illumination.

The 2003 Ford Mustang - Dark Smoke Tail Light Kit

The 2003 Ford Mustang saw the return of the come back of the Mach 1.  As we have mentioned in previously content, 2003 was an extremely good season for the Ford mustang due to the point that GM axed its Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Firebird from development which remaining it the last horse car status. The 2003 design is simple on the sight with the attribute long cover and shorter outdoor patio and many design elements harken back 30 years to previously designs. The cover and back outdoor patio are made of blend content that decreases bodyweight and an  incorporated spoiler accessories the back.  An extra design feature is the wipers that have aerodynamic pizza to keep them placed at high connections. All in all, there can be not much more we can say about this car except that it shows time and again to be one of the most well-known trips out there.

The Overhauled 2006 Honda CIvic - An Appeal to Generation Y

If you missed the name of the current weblog then allow me to say it again: Honda redesigned the 2006 Civic from the ground-up. Some of the most considerable upgrades were improved fuel-economy, a more highly effective 1.8 liter engine, sportier exterior style and a range of top quality features that improved an already excellent interior. The 8th Gen Civic also represents Honda’s attempt to entice Generation-Y buyers as it looks to modify its market from the Babt Boomer generation. It’s no surprise then that the 2006 Civic is both more structured and higher-performing than any other since the line’s starting in 1973.

Yellow Smoke Fog Lights - 2008 Toyota Camry

It’s not daily that you get the type of images we’ll be publishing soon but tricked out 2008 Camry with yellow-tinted foglights is a beauty to be sure. He also seems to have had a body kit installed making it appear all the more fierce. Another simple but valued element of his design is his inversion of the Toyota logo, the meaning of which I’d be really fascinated to know. Check out the Rvinyl Blog here for more pictures: http://blog.rvinyl.com/2012/07/06/yellow-smoke-fog-light-wraps-on-a-tuned-2008-camry/

Aftermarket Fog Light Install Video

Rvinyl has just launched a new movie illustrating how to install fog lamps for the 1992 thru 1995 Civic. This step-by-step movie will show you the procedure of setting up LED, Mobile, Projector and OEM style fog illumination for your car made by Spec-D.

Installing upgraded illumination can be a difficult and time-consuming procedure if you are uncertain of how to continue. These install movie clips offer you easy to understand guidelines to ensure an effective job.

Unfortunately, some customers decide that they can figure it out on their own but just because this is a immediate bolt-on alternative does not mean that some wiring is not required. Although we offer these movie clips as an assistance to both professionals and DIYers we always suggest professional installation.

Window Tint and the Environment

We hate to be depressing but with the environmental situation being what it is we can't really pretend like everything's fine and go on with business as usual. It's pretty much a fact that the environment is heating up at an alarming rate. These hotter conditions could cause catastrophe for any number of reasons but insect-borne disease, famine, war and flooding are just some of the highlights you can expect...

Anyway, let's take a second to breath and regain our composure and remember that we aren't helpless here. Let's all ty to do our part by changing to multiple or zero-fuel vehicles like the Nissan Leaf. Once you've got your low or no-fuel car consider including economical window tints from an ecologically accountable company such as eWindowTint.com who produce on a micro-scale and rely on existing city facilities in NYC.

July 4th and a Mustang!

[[posterous-content:pid___0]]It's the 4th of July! Somehow how it seems appropriate that the first post released (maybe the only to be released at that) would be the Mustang   given that it is the most well-known sports-esque car in The US. And, looking at the pictures published, it’s not too challenging to see why. Say what you want about Ford, the Mustang and North American automobiles but there's just something about the style of these automobiles that I cannot get over. I just really like the look of these late-model horse automobiles. And, the Rvinyl pre-cut trim kit only increases the look of the interior especially when you pick a dark carbon fibre or gloss red kit. You may think that is improbable for under $50 but let these pictures are worth a thousand words. With that I'll wish you a great 4th and bid you adieu!
